UI/UX Designer

About the role.

We''re hiring one Product Designer to lead end-to-end design on priority client engagements and our own SaaS portfolio. You''ll be the sole designer on most projects you own, partnering with engineering and product to take ideas from research to released features. Algoramming''s design culture leans heavily on iteration with real code prototypes — we use Figma for visual exploration but prefer to validate flows in shipped builds rather than wedded mockups. Own discovery, IA, interaction design, visual design and design QA on projects ranging from public marketing sites to dashboards used daily by 10,000+ people. Help us evolve our internal design system and write the principles that guide it.

Responsibilities.

• Lead discovery: user interviews, competitive teardowns, jobs-to-be-done synthesis
• Drive IA, interaction design and visual design through to high-fidelity Figma libraries
• Pair with engineers during build, doing daily design QA on staging
• Evolve our internal design system (components, tokens, motion, content patterns)
• Document the principles behind design decisions in shared playbooks
• Run lightweight usability sessions for the features you own

Requirements.

• 4+ years shipping end-to-end product design for digital products
• Strong portfolio showing dashboards, complex flows or B2B tooling
• Fluency in Figma — auto-layout, variants, variables, library hygiene
• Comfort talking through trade-offs with engineers and product leads
• Ability to write — landing copy, microcopy, error messages
• Visual craft: typography, color systems, spacing, accessibility-aware contrast

Nice to have.

• Background in design systems or token-driven theming
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML/CSS) — you can read a component before redrawing it
• Experience producing brand-level work (logos, illustration sets, brand guidelines)
• Motion design portfolio (Lottie, Rive, Figma transitions)
